Akasa Air’s new flights will connect Bengaluru and Pune starting November 23.
Akasa Air has added Pūr city in Maharashtra to the list of its destinations, as well as the 8th. The new carrier will begin flying to the city from November 23, intending to fly there on approximately 50 flights daily and slightly fewer than 400 flights per week by the end of the month.
The airline says it has removed the fifth frequency from flights from Bengaluru to Mumbai starting on November 23. As a result, the number of daily services will increase to 7.
After the second flight from Bengaluru to Pune on November 26, Akasa Air will begin a third frequency in the route.
Akasa Airways, which is based in Bengaluru, will now be scheduling 20 daily flights from that city to many cities in India. Praveen Iyer, one of the company’s co-founders and chief commercial officer, said that connecting two of the most important IT hubs in the country — Pune and Bengaluru — will offer increased connectivity and more affordable fares.
Akasa Air more than doubled its route network to 13 cities, forming 9 routes across 5 cities. The aforementioned cities are Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, and Pune.
